KidCash Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 2, 2026
Last updated: September 2, 2026
KidCash LLC ("KidCash," "we," "us," or "our") provides the KidCash mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The App is designed for parents and guardians, who hold all accounts. Children never have accounts of their own. Section 1 explains exactly what that means, and what we do and do not receive.
1. A note on children's information
KidCash is a tool for a parent or guardian to run a reward system with their child. As the parent or guardian, you may choose to enter limited information about your child, such as a first name or nickname, an optional age or age range, an avatar, notes, and reward transactions.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have received such information directly from a child, we will delete it. Children do not have KidCash accounts. Everyone who holds an account or is given access to a family must be at least 18 years old. The App includes a kid mode that you may show your child on your own device - a handover, not an account, with no sign-in of its own.
One account holds a family. The person who set up the family is the only person with an account for it. The App has no way to give another person access to your family's information.
We do not receive your family's information. Everything about your family - including any photo added to a chore - is stored in your own Apple iCloud account and synced only between your own devices. KidCash runs no server for this information and cannot read it. We do not collect personal information directly from children, and we do not use children's information for advertising, profiling, or engagement-based messaging.
You control what child information exists. You can edit or delete your family's information at any time in the App.
Because we hold no copy, we cannot monitor how the App is used. We have no way to see what any parent records, and no ability to review or intervene in how a child is treated in any household. If you are worried about a child's safety, contact your local emergency services or child-protection authority - we have no information that could help. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us at support@kidcash.com and we will delete it.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Account information. When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier and, depending on your choice, your name and an email address (which may be an Apple private-relay address). Sign in with Apple is the only way to sign in.
- Child and household information you enter. First names or nicknames, optional ages, avatars, allowance and currency settings, reward and deduction entries, notes, and goals ("Family Data").
- Communications. If you contact us, we keep your messages and contact details.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage and device information. The App contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting software, and we do not collect app-usage or device information. If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics or crash reports with Apple, Apple may provide us with aggregate, non-identifying reports about the App. That sharing is controlled by Apple and by your device settings, not by us.
Purchase information:
- Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple. We do not receive or store your payment-card number or full billing details.
The App does not collect precise geolocation, contacts, or biometric data. Photos are used only where you add one to a chore; those photos are stored in your own iCloud account and are never transmitted to us.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to: provide and operate the App and your account; sync your Family Data between your own devices through your Apple iCloud account; process and validate subscriptions through Apple; send you important service messages; respond to your requests; maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse; and comply with law. We use children's information only to provide the App's features to you, the parent, and not for advertising or profiling.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as follows:
- Apple. We rely on Apple for authentication, subscription processing, app distribution, and iCloud storage and sync. Your Family Data is held in your own iCloud account under your Apple ID, governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. We use no other service providers and operate no servers of our own.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, or property of anyone.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data retention
Your Family Data is kept in your own iCloud account for as long as you choose to keep it, and is removed when you delete it in the App or delete your iCloud copy. We hold no copy of it and therefore retain none of it. Records we do hold about your account itself are kept for up to 24 months after you delete your account, unless we must keep certain records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
6. Your choices and rights
- Access, edit, delete. You can view, edit, and delete your Family Data in the App, and you can delete your entire account from Settings, which removes your account information as described here.
- Notifications. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
- Regional rights. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. For example, California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and residents of the EEA/UK have rights under the GDPR. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@kidcash.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and where the GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing are performance of our contract with you, your consent, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your device and sign-in method protected.
8. Data storage and international transfers
Your Family Data is stored on your own devices and in your own Apple iCloud account. We operate no servers and hold no copy of it, so it is not transferred to us or to any service provider of ours. Apple may store and process iCloud data in countries other than your own; that storage is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy, and by the iCloud settings on your account.
9. Third-party services and links
The App relies on Apple and may reference third-party content or links, such as KidCash.com. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by other reasonable means and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
